Recently completed was the renovation of the outdoor gaming space at Echuca Moama RSL and Citizens Club.
The space has been transformed into a contemporary and stylish open air gaming and entertainment facility. The amalgamation of tiles, stone, timber
and landscaped gardens on walls intrigues in its complexity and distinction while nine hand crafted spherical sculptures compliment the central gas
fire place which was also uniquely customized for this area.
The challenge of integrating the main club building adjoining the new gaming was addressed by the incorporation of a landscaped triangular courtyard
area. The transition between old and new buildings was seamlessly constructed with full height glazed walls making it a prominent feature visible from
multiple sections of the club.
Behind the walls of the gaming space is a new administration area complete with offices, amenities, staff room and even kitchen facilities for use
of club staff.
The focus was to ensure that the facility was completed in time to welcome the club’s eventful Christmas holiday periods whilst still honouring the
high quality finishes and design targets. Whitcon were able to achieve completion on time and within the 15 week program.
Whitcon hopes to replicate its success in winning the 2013 Master Builders Association, excellence in construction award by announcing that this project
will represent the company’s entry into the 2014 competition.
